JESUS SAID, "ONLY GOD IS GOOD." THIS MEANS THAT WE CANNOT EARN OUR WAY INTO HEAVEN BY DOING GOOD THINGS. WE MUST DO THE 180, TURNING FROM OUR SINS AND TURNING TO CHRIST, FOCUSING AND MEDITATING ON RELATIONSHP WITH HIM; AND TO BECOME BORN AGAIN BY THE HOLY SPIRIT IN ORDER TO ENTER HEAVEN. WE HAVE TO FIGHT AGAINST SIN AND ALLOW JESUS TO WORK WITHIN US WITH HIS PERFECT WILL, NOT OUR SLOPPY WILL.

John 3:3 "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

Bible Verses on Trusting God, Not Men

The Bible consistently teaches that our ultimate trust should be in God alone, not in human beings, whose wisdom, strength, and promises are limited and fallible.

Key Verses:

Psalm 118:8 – “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.” This verse sets the foundation for the whole theme, emphasizing divine protection over human reliance.

Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” This calls for complete reliance on God’s guidance.

Jeremiah 17:5-7 – “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind… but blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD.” It warns of the dangers of placing confidence in human strength and the blessing of trusting in GOD.

Isaiah 2:22 – “Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?” This highlights the frailty of human life compared to God’s eternal nature.

Proverbs 28:26 – “Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.” Wisdom here is trusting in God’s ways, not in human self-reliance.

Psalm 146:3 – “Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.” This warns against relying on earthly rulers or leaders.

Micah 7:5 – “Put no trust in a neighbor; have no confidence in a friend.” Caution against placing trust in people, even close ones.

Deuteronomy 31:6 – “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.” God’s faithfulness is the ultimate source of strength.
